Renew the commitment in your heart that you might serve the Lord by serving others to the best of your ability using your time, your talents, and your tithes. Opportunities for you to volunteer your time and talents have been addressed in various sections of this web site; if you do not find the opportunity you are seeking, please contact the pastor directly. Tithing is the standard established by Jesus, in support of the Lord, here at First United Methodist. Support your financial commitment regardless the size. The first obligation to giving to the local church is in support of the general budget. Supporting the general budget provides for the day to day operation of the church, pays salaries of the employees and supports the general church through apportionments. If you wish to donate, in support of the Lord, beyond the general budget of the church, please consider some of the following examples:
